How do I create an account on LAYE?

Go to the registration page, choose your account type (customer or organizer), enter your name, email address, and password. A confirmation email will be sent to activate your account. Registration is completely free and takes less than 2 minutes.

How do I update my personal information?
+

Log in to your dashboard, go to the "Settings" or "Profile" section. There you can update your name, email, phone number, and profile picture at any time.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
+

On the login page, click "Forgot password?". Enter the email associated with your account. You will receive a reset link valid for 30 minutes. If you don’t receive it, check your spam folder or contact support.

Can I have both a customer and organizer account?
+

Yes. From your customer settings, you can activate organizer mode without creating a second account. Both dashboards remain accessible within the same session.

How do I permanently delete my account?
+

Account deletion is irreversible. Before proceeding, make sure there are no active tickets or ongoing events. Go to Settings → Account → Delete my account. Your personal data will be erased in accordance with our privacy policy.

How do I buy a ticket for an event?
+

Go to the event page, select your ticket category (Standard, VIP, etc.), choose the number of tickets, and click "Book". You will be guided to the payment method. Your ticket with a unique QR code is sent immediately after payment confirmation.

Where can I find my tickets after purchase?
+

Your tickets are available in your customer dashboard under "My tickets". You also receive a confirmation email with the QR code attached. Make sure to save the QR code on your phone for quick access on the event day.

Can I cancel or get a refund for a ticket?
+

Cancellation policies depend on each organizer. Some events allow refunds up to 48 hours before the event, others do not. These conditions are clearly displayed on the event page before purchase. In case of dispute, you can contact our support team.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
+

Yes, from your dashboard, you can transfer a ticket by entering the recipient’s email address. The person will receive their own unique QR code. The original ticket becomes invalid after transfer.

What happens if the organizer cancels the event?
+

If an event is canceled, you will be notified by email and through your dashboard. A refund is automatically initiated using the original payment method. Refund times vary depending on the payment provider (usually 24 to 72 hours).

What payment methods are available?
+

LAYE supports three payment methods adapted to the Haitian market: MonCash Digicel for mobile payments, bank cards (Visa, Mastercard) for international payments, and local Mobile Money / bank transfer. All payments are secure and encrypted.

My payment is pending. What should I do?
+

MonCash and Mobile Money payments may take a few minutes to confirm. If your payment has been pending for more than 30 minutes, first check your balance and whether the transaction was debited. If the amount was charged without confirmation, contact support with your transaction number.

Is my banking information secure?
+

LAYE never stores your full banking information. Card transactions are handled by PCI-DSS certified payment processors. MonCash payments go directly through Digicel infrastructure. Your financial data is never exposed to our servers.

Can I pay for someone else?

Yes, you can purchase a ticket for another person using your own payment method. During checkout, you can enter the participant’s name. The ticket will be linked to your account but can be transferred to the recipient from your dashboard.

Are there additional fees when purchasing tickets?

Service fees may apply depending on the event — they are always clearly displayed on the event page before checkout, with no surprises at payment. Some organizers choose to cover these fees and offer all-inclusive pricing.

How do I become an organizer on LAYE?
+

Create an account and activate organizer mode in your settings, or sign up directly as an organizer. Provide your organization details (name, contact, payment method). Your account is approved within 24 hours and you can immediately start publishing events.

How much does it cost to create an event?
+

Creating an account and publishing events is completely free. LAYE takes a commission on each ticket sold. This percentage is shown during registration. For free events, no commission is applied.

How can I track my event sales in real time?
+

Your organizer dashboard displays in real time: ticket sales per category, total revenue, occupancy rate, participant list, and sharing statistics. All data updates automatically as soon as a sale is confirmed.

Can I edit my event after publishing?
+

Yes — title, description, flyer, promo video, and event details can be edited at any time. However, changing prices after sales have started may affect buyer trust. Date or location changes are possible, and notifications are automatically sent to ticket holders.

How do I validate tickets at the event entrance?

From your organizer dashboard, open "Validation mode". Scan the participant’s QR code using your phone camera. Validation is instant — green if valid, red if already used or invalid. Multiple team members can scan simultaneously from different devices.

Can QR codes be copied or forged?
+

No. Each LAYE QR code contains a unique cryptographic token linked to your account and the event. It cannot be duplicated. During scanning, our system checks real-time validity and whether it has already been used. Any fraud attempt is instantly detected.

How does LAYE protect my personal data?
+

Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We never sell your information to third parties. You can request deletion or export of your data at any time from your settings. Our full privacy policy is available on the website.

How do I report suspicious activity on my account?
+

If you suspect unauthorized access, immediately change your password and log out of all sessions in your settings. Then contact our security team with as many details as possible. We treat these reports as top priority.

Is LAYE available as a mobile app?

LAYE is currently accessible via web browser on mobile and desktop, fully optimized for smartphone use. A native iOS and Android app is in development and will be available soon. Stay updated by subscribing to our newsletter.

Does the platform work without fast internet?
+

LAYE is optimized to work on slow connections, such as those commonly found in Haiti. Pages are lightweight, images are compressed, and QR validation requires minimal data. A partial offline mode for validation is currently in development.

What should I do if I encounter a bug or error?
+

First, clear your browser cache and refresh the page. If the issue persists, note the exact error message and what triggered it, then report it via our contact form. Our technical team prioritizes reported bugs.
